Description
A shot taken from the portico of the Gran Madre di Dio (Great Mother of God) Church, in Turin, built in 1814 to celebrate the return of King Vittorio Emanuele I of Savoia. The statue on the right represents the Faith; the chalice represents the Holy Grail, which, according to the legend, is hidden in Turin somewhere. And the legend, again, says that the statue looks at the point where the Hly Grail should be.
But, from this perspective, it all could be just a toast to the Mole Antonelliana, recognizable on the background.
